Minecraft Update is Live!

That's right! Minecraft was updated at some point today and it proves to be quite the update. There may not be a whole lot more to actually do, but one thing is for sure: Minecraft is colorful now!

First of all, there is a new mob: the squid, which will give you black dye. Other things will give you dye now as well, like flowers and a new blue colored stone: Lapis Lazuli. With this dye, you can mix colors and dye wool, to create colored blocks. Another great addition is some different tree, which have different wood types and look much different. The new wood types don't do anything different, but they add some diversity to the game. Also, there is a new dispenser, or even better, a turret. When wired to a button or lever with redstone, it will dispense whatever materials you fill it with, or it will act as a turret when filled with arrows. Also, wood can be smelted in a furnace to create charcoal, which acts just like coal. One bad thing now, spiders can climb up walls!! That will make some things slightly more difficult, but fun at the same time. Last, but certainly not least, we have cake! Thats right, you can now craft cake with sugar (from sugar cane which look like reeds), milk, egg, and some wheat. Cake will provide you will bits of health over time.

All in all, the update is a nice one. The additions are plentiful and should prove useful. The game is getting better and better, and more and more people are buying getting it. Last night, Minecraft passed the million player mark. Thats a lot. I know I've done my share of recruiting, have you?
