Cartograph No Longer Works - Use Cartograph G Instead

Well, my discovery is that since the Beta 1.3 update in Minecraft, the applet Cartograph can no longer be used. This is presumably due to the changing save system to be more efficient, and since the developer of the applet is no longer active on the forums where he posted it. Alas! There is hope! The community has taken it into their own hands to create something new... something better. Well, I will argue that it isn't better, but Cartograph G does the same thing that Cartograph did.
